 Welcome!


John P. Paschen served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Long Binh, South Vietnam as Specialist 5th class from 1669-1970 with the 48th group, 7th battalion, 321st transportation company which transported high explosives and other materials throughout III Corps.


After his discharge he married his high school sweetheart, Lisa, and settled in Tonawanda where he owned and operated an auto repair shop for over 40 years. Since retirement, he has been pursuing his life long interest in classic cars.


He is a member and past President of the Clutch Artists Car Club, member of the Masonic Lodge 826 in North Tonawanda and a proud Life Member of Frontiersmen Post 7545 VFW where he has held several offices throughout the years, currently serving as Commander since 2023.


He is excited about leading the Post with the help of both old and new members.

History


VFW Post 7545 was established on October 7, 1955. The Women's Auxiliary was established on February 17, 1956. The Men's Auxiliary was established in 2013. The Women's & Men's Auxiliaries merged in 2019.


The Post is also proud to be called Home of the American Legion "Band of the Tonawandas." Our award-winning concert band based in Tonawanda, NY. Formed in 1929 by World War I veterans & American Legion members.

Mission


To serve Veterans who have proudly fought in combat. Improving how our veterans are treated by citizens and the government when they return from combat. To keep the memory of all our comrades who have fought to keep our nation the land of the free, alive in our community. To serve as a place of refuge for those who have served in combat.
